In the rapidly evolving world of refrigerated transport, the integrity of the thermal envelope is paramount. At the heart of this envelope lies the composite panel, and at the surface of that panel lies the material that determines durability, hygiene, and aesthetics: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). As a specialized manufacturer, we are proud to present our flagship product line: the premium White GRP in Coil.
This product is specifically engineered for the fabrication of composite panels used in refrigerated van bodies, van bodyes, and cold chain logistics containers. Unlike traditional flat sheet production, our decision to manufacture GRP in Coil represents a strategic leap forward in efficiency for our global clientele. By offering this material in a continuous roll, we empower manufacturers to eliminate waste, reduce shipping volume, and customize their production lines to fit specific车厢 dimensions.
Whether you are looking for a high-gloss finish for a brand-new fleet or a matte finish for a rugged industrial look, our coils deliver unmatched performance.
The primary question we often receive from new customers is: Why coils instead of flat sheets? The answer lies in logistics and flexibility.
When you purchase GRP in Coil, you are not just buying material; you are buying supply chain efficiency. Flat sheets are bulky, prone to damage during transit, and require significant warehouse space. Our coils, however, are wound tightly, maximizing the use of shipping containers. This drastically reduces freight costs.
Furthermore, the coil format allows our clients—who are typically composite panel manufacturers—to unroll the material directly into their lamination line. This continuous process allows for the production of "endless" panels, which can then be cut to the exact length required for a specific GRP in Coil for van body order. This "cut-to-order" capability minimizes offcuts and scrap, directly improving your bottom line.
The surface of a refrigerated vehicle is constantly bombarded by harsh UV rays, road debris, and chemical washdowns. To combat this, our White GRP in Coil features a premium Gelcoat layer with integrated UV Protection.
This Gelcoat serves two critical functions:
Aesthetic Preservation: It prevents the yellowing and chalking that plagues inferior plastics. Your Glossy White GRP in Coil will remain bright and reflective for years, maintaining the professional appearance of the fleet.
Structural Protection: The Gelcoat acts as a barrier, preventing moisture ingress and protecting the underlying fiberglass structure from degradation.
While the front surface is designed for aesthetics and weather resistance, the back surface is engineered for bonding. Our Matte White GRP in Coil and glossy variants feature a Corona Discharge Treatment on the reverse side.
This treatment is essential for manufacturers bonding the GRP to XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) Foam Core. The Corona treatment increases the surface energy of the plastic, creating a molecular "anchor" pattern. This ensures that the adhesive used in the lamination process forms an unbreakable bond. Without this treatment, delamination—the separation of the GRP skin from the foam core—could occur, leading to catastrophic failure of the refrigerated van body.
We understand that different parts of a refrigerated van require different levels of structural integrity. Therefore, we offer a versatile range of thicknesses to suit various engineering requirements.
These thinner gauges are ideal for applications where weight savings are critical. They are often used for interior liners, smaller delivery van bodies, or the side panels of insulated boxes where structural stress is lower. The 1.5 mm White GRP in Coil offers a slight increase in puncture resistance, making it a popular choice for urban delivery vehicles.
The 2.0 mm White GRP in Coil is the industry standard for medium-to-heavy duty refrigerated van bodyes. It offers an excellent balance of rigidity, impact resistance, and weight. The 2.5 mm White GRP in Coil is chosen for larger trailers or applications requiring higher screw-holding capacity and resistance to bulging under load.
For the most demanding environments, such as large semi-trailers or specialized containers, the 3.0 mm White GRP in Coil is the ultimate solution. It provides superior rigidity, ensuring that the composite panel remains flat even under significant thermal cycling and mechanical stress.
Aesthetics and functionality go hand-in-hand. We offer two distinct surface finishes to meet your market's demands.
The Glossy White GRP in Coil is our most popular seller. The high-gloss finish reflects heat, which aids in thermal efficiency, and provides a "showroom" quality look. It is easy to clean, as dirt and grime struggle to adhere to the smooth surface. This is the preferred choice for fleet operators who want their vehicles to look new for longer.
The Matte White GRP in Coil offers a modern, sleek appearance. It is often used in specialized vehicles or where a non-reflective surface is desired. The matte finish can also hide minor surface scuffs and scratches more effectively than a high-gloss surface, making it a practical choice for rugged applications.
A: The primary advantage is logistical and economic efficiency. GRP in Coil allows for much higher density packing during shipping, significantly reducing freight costs. It also allows your production line to cut the material to the exact length needed for a specific GRP in Coil for van body project, minimizing waste and inventory space.
A: The Corona Discharge Treatment on the back of our White GRP in Coil increases the surface energy. This allows the polyurethane or epoxy adhesives used to bond the GRP to the XPS foam core to create a permanent, structural bond. This prevents delamination, which is the most common failure point in refrigerated panels.
A: While the 1.2 mm White GRP in Coil is strong, it is generally recommended for interior liners or side walls where impact from road debris is less likely. For exterior roofs or side panels, we typically recommend the 2.0 mm White GRP in Coil or higher to ensure sufficient rigidity and puncture resistance.
A: The Glossy White GRP in Coil is generally easier to wash and repels dirt better due to its smooth surface. However, it may show scratches more visibly. The Matte White GRP in Coil hides scratches better but may require slightly more effort to remove stubborn stains from its textured surface.
A: No. The UV Protection Gelcoat is applied to the front (exterior) face to protect against sunlight and weather. The back face receives the Corona Discharge Treatment to facilitate bonding. This ensures optimal performance for both the exterior and interior requirements of the panel.
A: The choice depends on the size of the panel and the structural load. For a standard GRP in Coil for van body with a span of 2.5 meters, a 1.5 mm White GRP in Coil or 2.0 mm White GRP in Coil is usually sufficient. For longer spans or floors, you should move up to the 2.5 mm White GRP in Coil or 3.0 mm White GRP in Coil. Our technical team can provide a recommendation based on your specific design.
As a specialized manufacturer, we understand that the success of your refrigerated van body production depends on the quality of your raw materials. Our White GRP in Coil is designed to provide a flawless surface, superior bonding capabilities, and logistical advantages.
From the 1.2 mm White GRP in Coil for lightweight applications to the 3.0 mm White GRP in Coil for heavy-duty demands, we supply the material that keeps the cold chain moving. By choosing our Glossy White GRP in Coil or Matte White GRP in Coil, you are investing in a product that ensures your composite panels are durable, aesthetically pleasing, and thermally efficient.
