What are Fiberglass FRP GRP Foam Core Sandwich Panels?

Fiberglass Sandwich Panel is a composite panel consisted of 3 layers: fiberglass sheets on top side & bottom side respectively, core layer is a foam core.

Fiberglass is also called FRP, GRP. It’s a glass reinforced polymer material, with good impact resistant and chemical resistant, very durable. And foam core can be PUF, XPS, EPS etc, generally these types of foam core are light weighted and thermal insulated or sound insulated. So fiberglass sandwich panel embraces all the features of what fiberglass sheet and foam core have, it’s a 2-in-1 product.

Features of Fiberglass FRP GRP Foam Core Sandwich Panels:

1. Fiberglass sandwich panel surface is anti-scratch, impact resistant and chemical resistant, so little maintenance is required. It’s a durable material.

2. Thermal insulated & sould insulated. Fiberglass (FRP GRP) foam core panels have different functions and costs depending on your applications & choices of core. PUF (polyurethane foam) is fire resistant and thermal insulation; XPS is thermal insulation, sound proof and waterproof; EPS is thermal insulation, waterproof and low cost.

3. Fiberglass foam sandwich panel is light weighted even when it’s a thick panel because the foam core is low density. This would reduce the weight burden of the projects that you will use the sandwich panel for.

4. FRP sandwich panel is easy to cut and install. Generally cutting blade or CNC machines can work on it perfectly.

5. Fiberglass foam panel is very flat even for big size panel.

Applications of Fiberglass FRP GRP Foam Core Sandwich Panels:

1. FRP sandwich panel is used for cool room (cold room) wall panels & roof panels, because it’s thermal insulated & not easy to corrode.

2. FRP (GRP) sandwich panel is used for cold storage truck body panels, for its thermal insulation & easy installation.
