What are the Fiberglass FRP GRP Honeycomb Panels?

Fiberglass Honeycomb Panel is a three-layer composite panel that is made with two layers of fiberglass (FRP / GRP) as top & bottom skins and laminated to a PP honeycomb core or aluminium honeycomb core.

Fiberglass sheet is also called FRP or GRP, meaning it's a glass fiber reinforced plastic. So FRP itself is a composite of fiberglass and resins. And we commonly see fiberglass sheets to be used for aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries. In many cases, it has to be installed with some other substrate materials or framing because the FRP sheet itself is not rigid enough and a certain supporting is necessary for many applications. Thus FRP honeycomb panel is a pefect product that gives FRP panel strength but keeps all original properties of what FRP has. 

Features of Fiberglass FRP GRP Honeycomb Panel:

1. FRP GRP honeycomb panel surface has same property of FRP sheet, to be strong, scratch resistant, high impact resistant & chemical resistant, it’s easy to clean with regular detergents & high-pressure washers.

2. FRP GRP honeycomb panel is light weighted even when it’s made into a thick panel, for the reason that honeycomb core itself is a very light weighted material. It can reduce the overall weight of your project.

3. Owing to the benefits of honeycomb core structure, FRP GRP honeycomb panel is rigid & flat even when it’s a big panel. It can reduces the joints and reduces the supporting frame or reinforcement needed during assembling and installation.

Applications of Fiberglass FRP GRP Honeycomb Panel:

1. Truck body panels. FRP GRP honeycomb panels are used to build up light weighted & nice looking truck body. It's easy to assemble & install with proper aluminium extrusions.

2. Partition wall. FRP honeycomb panels can be used as partition materials, such as wall partition, protective fence of construction site etc for its easy maintenance property.

3. Substrate material. They can be used as supporting substrate materials for making stone honeycomb panels or acrylic honeycomb panels, to achieve a light weighted but strong & flat composite panel.

4. Floor. They can be used as flooring, such as stage floor etc.
