Aluminium Foam Core Sandwich Panel is consisted of 3 layers: two layers of aluminium sheets on top & bottom sides and a core layer of foam.
Aluminium panels are commonly used for decoration of building walls & roofing or making industrial products. Because aluminium panels can be easily fabricated and can be color coated to have a nice surface (various colors, wooden or stone textures etc) and meanwhile it has good anticorrosion making it not easy to rust. But aluminium itself can conduct heat and if we want to use a thick panel it would be heavy and expensive. So laminating aluminium sheets to a foam core to make a sandwich panel would be a very practical and meaningful product.
Nice decoration effects. Aluminium sandwich panel have nice looking surface with different types of colors or patterns, suitable for many decoration applications.
Durable. Aluminium has good anti-corrosion property, the life span is long. And it won’t rust and get loose like what steel would.
Light weighted & thermal insulated. Foam core generally is light weighted and has different features: PUR is thermal insulated & fire proof; XPS is thermal & sound insulated; EPS is thermal & sound insulated & cheap; Rockwool is fire proof & sound proof.
Economical. Aluminium foam core sandwich panel is more economic in cost in comparison to thick aluminium panels, because the aluminium skin generally is less than 1mm thick so less aluminium is consumed.
Flat panel surface. The aluminium sandwich panel is with good flatness and won’t have oil canning problem.
Easy fabrication. It’s easy to cut the foam core panel, generally saws or blade or CNC cutting machines can work on it easily.
Aluminium foam core panel is used for building decoration. Such as building facade, interior wall partition, roofing panels etc.
Aluminium sandwich panel is used for cold storage application. Such as cold room (cool room) wall panels, cold storage truck body panels etc.
